ONLINE ANALYTICS AND TAILORED ADVERTISING

Online Analytics

We may use third-party web analytics services on the Services, such as those of Google Analytics. These entities use the technologies described in the “Information We Automatically Collect” section above to help us analyze how users use the Services, and the third-party websites from which they arrive. To prevent Google Analytics from using your information for analytics, you may install the Google Analytics Opt-Out Browser Add-on.

Tailored Online Advertising

Third parties whose products or services are accessible or marketed via the Services may place cookies or similar technologies on your computer, mobile phone, or other device to collect information about your use of the Services in order to (a) inform, optimize, and serve ads based on past visits to our websites and other sites and (b) report how our ad impressions and interactions with such ads are related to visits to our Services. We also allow other third parties (e.g., ad networks and ad servers such as Google Ads, Facebook, and others) to serve tailored marketing to you and to access their own cookies or other tracking technologies on your computer, mobile phone, or other device you use to access the Services. We neither have access to, nor does this Privacy Policy govern, the use of cookies or other tracking technologies that may be placed on your computer, mobile phone, or other device you use to access the Services by non-affiliated, third-party ad technology, ad servers, and ad networks. Those parties that use these technologies may offer you a way to opt out of targeted advertising as described below. Cookies may also be associated with de-identified data linked to or derived from data you voluntarily have submitted to us (e.g., your email address) that we may disclose to a service provider in hashed, non-human-readable form to serve you with relevant ads as you browse their websites (e.g., Facebook) and the Internet generally.

If you are interested in more information about tailored browser advertising and how you can generally control cookies from being put on your computer to deliver tailored marketing, you may visit the Network Advertising Initiative's Consumer Opt-Out Link and/or the Digital Advertising Alliance's Consumer Opt-Out Link to opt-out of receiving tailored advertising from companies that participate in those programs. To see your options for opting out of Google advertising activities, you can visit the Google Ads Settings page. Please note that to the extent advertising technology is integrated into the Services, you may still receive advertising content even if you opt out of tailored advertising. In that case, the advertising content will just not be tailored to your interests. Also, we do not control any of the above opt-out links and are not responsible for any choices you make using these mechanisms or the continued availability or accuracy of these mechanisms. If your browsers are configured to reject cookies when you visit this opt-out page, or you subsequently erase your cookies, use a different computer or change web browsers, your NAI or DAA opt-out may no longer be effective. Additional information is available on NAI's and DAA's websites, accessible by the above links.

For additional ways to out of targeted advertising activities under applicable law, see the "Your Rights and Choices" section below.

Do Not Track Disclosure. We are committed to providing you with meaningful choices about the information collected on our Services for third party purposes. That is why we have provided links (above) to the NAI "Consumer Opt-Out" link, the DAA opt-out link, and a Google opt-out link. However, we do not currently recognize or respond to browser-initiated Do-Not-Track signals, as Do-Not-Track standards, implementations, and solutions have still not been widely adopted. Please note that Do Not Track is a different privacy mechanism than the legally-required user “preference signal” referenced in the “Your Rights and Choices” section below, which is a browser-based control that indicates whether you would like to opt out of processing of your information for certain purposes, such as the “sale” of your information or the disclosure of your information for targeted advertising purposes, under applicable laws.

YOUR RIGHTS AND CHOICES

a. General Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction of residence, you may have the right to make certain requests regarding your “personal information” or “personal data” (as such terms are defined under applicable law, and collectively referred to herein as “personal information”). Specifically, you may have the right to ask us to:

  • Inform you about the categories of personal information we collect or disclose about you; the categories of sources of such information; the business or commercial purpose for collecting your personal information; and the categories of third parties with whom we disclose personal information.
  • Provide you access to and/or a copy of certain personal information we hold about you.
  • Correct or update personal information we hold about you.
  • Delete certain personal information we have about you.

You also may have the right to opt out of “sales” of your information and “sharing/use of your information for targeted advertising” as described below in subsection c.

As provided in applicable law, you also have the right to not be discriminated against for exercising your rights. Please note that certain information may be exempt from such requests under applicable law. For example, we need to retain certain information in order to provide our services to you. We also need to take reasonable steps to verify your identity before responding to a request, which may include, at a minimum, depending on the sensitivity of the information you are requesting and the type of request you are making, verifying your name and email address. You are also permitted to designate an authorized agent to submit certain requests on your behalf. In order for an authorized agent to be verified, you must provide the authorized agent with signed, written permission to make such requests or a power of attorney. We may also follow up with you to verify your identity before processing the authorized agent’s request.

How to exercise your rights. To exercise your rights, please email us at privacy@venturestreet.com or submit this form.

Depending on applicable law, you may have the right to appeal our decision to deny your request, if applicable. If we deny your request, we will provide you with information on how to appeal the decision, if applicable, in our communications with you.

b. Opting Out of Marketing Emails

You can unsubscribe from our marketing emails via the unsubscribe link provided in the emails. Please note that it may take us some time, consistent with our legal obligations, to process your request. Even if you opt out from receiving marketing messages from us, you will continue to receive administrative messages from us, such as order confirmations, updates to our policies and practices, or other communications regarding our relationship or transactions with you.

c. Notice of Right to Opt Out of Sales of Personal Information and Processing/Sharing of Personal Information for Targeted Advertising Purposes

As explained in the “Online Analytics and Tailored Advertising” section above, we provide personal information to third-party advertising providers for targeted advertising purposes, so that we can provide you with more relevant and tailored ads regarding our services, or use analytics partners to assist us in analyzing use of our services and our user/customer base. The disclose of your personal information to these third parties to assist us in providing these services may be considered a “sale” of personal information under applicable law, or, the processing/sharing of personal information for targeted advertising purposes.

If would like to opt out of our disclosure such as through cookie and pixel technology of your personal information for purposes that could be considered “sales” for those third parties' own commercial purposes, or “sharing” for purposes of targeted advertising, please click here. You can also submit a sale opt-out request to opt out of our disclosures of information that are subject to applicable opt out rights but not cookie/pixel based by filling out the form available here. Please note that we do not knowingly sell the personal information of minors under 16 years of age without legally-required affirmative authorization.

Please note that if you have a legally-recognized browser-based opt out preference signal turned on via your device browser, we recognize such preference in accordance with applicable law.

d. Member account de-activation.

If you are a Member, you can request that we de-activate your public profile. Please contact us at the contact information below to make such request.

PRIVACY INFORMATION FOR CALIFORNIA RESIDENTS

We “share” information to provide more relevant and tailored advertising to you regarding our Services. Our use of third-party analytics services and online advertising services may result in the sharing of online identifiers (e.g., cookie data, IP addresses, device identifiers, and usage information) in a way that may be considered a “sale” under the CCPA.
